Chronology of LGBT historical events:

  • 1903 - May 6th - Yuma Territory Prison, John Ryan, who had previously been sentenced for a "crime against nature" out of Coconino County, committed suicide on this day at about 11:30 am. He committed the act in cell 14 with a makeshift rope made from his blanket. He was noted to not get along with the other inmates.
  • 1992 - Oct 24 - Joseph Charles Hutchinson is beaten severely and dies a year and a half later.
  • 1994 - Jan 16 - Duane Linsley is shot to death.
  • 1994 - April 4 - Robert Haines is executed by gun.
  • 1994 - May - Joseph Charles Hutchinson dies after complications from a beating on Oct 24, 1992.
  • 1994 - June 6 - Michael Despain is killed.
  • 1994 - Dec 12 - Thomas Frazee, 28, is shot to death.
  • 1996 - Nov 9 - Alan Fitzgerald Walker is beaten to death in Fayetteville
  • 1998 - January - Thomas Moffat is murdered in Phoenix
  • 1998 - February - Robert Hernandez is shot to death in Phoenix
  • 2000 - March 3 - Brian David James Hyer aka DJ Thompson, age 31, was shot to death in Kingman.
  • 2002 - Feb 16 - Amy Soos, aka Raymond, is killed in Phoenix
  • 2002 - March 3 - Alejandro Ray Lucero is killed in Phoenix
  • 2005 - May 6 - Delialah Corrales, named Amancio at birth, died from "violent trauma' in Yuma.
  • 2005 - March 21 - Melissa "Mo" Green, transsexual was shot in Phoenix.
